Another game that fits perfectly into my “Bringing Back Sexy in Video Games” series. You play as Eve, a member of the Airborne Squadron—a group of highly skilled (and yes, very sexy) female soldiers sent from their orbital base back to Earth to wipe out an infectious species known as the Alpha Naytiba.
As Eve, you quickly discover just how powerful she is. Through her wide arsenal of abilities, you’ll fight against hordes of mutated creatures now infesting the planet. But it’s not just about brute strength—Eve’s skills feel almost beyond human. You begin to believe she and her squadron have been enhanced with cybernetic upgrades, granting them superhuman offensive and defensive capabilities.
The story isn’t only about combat, though. Along her journey, Eve starts to question her own humanity while forging bonds with others she meets. The ongoing war forces them to reflect on whether their cause is just and what side of history they’re truly on.
For me, the gameplay felt like a Souls-like boss rush. I had to learn enemy patterns, adapt to their move sets, counter effectively, and master precise sword parries to gain an advantage. It was tough—especially using my one-handed setup: the Proteus controller for movement, combined with my MMO mouse (mapped with REWASD macros) for attacks and abilities.
The battles were intense and rewarding… until I hit a wall with the final three bosses. No matter what I tried—different skills, add-ons, and power-ups—I just couldn’t beat them. It was frustrating and honestly crushed my confidence. In the end, I wanted to finish the game for my audience, so I turned to a “cheat” program called WeMod. With buffed shields and unlimited healing, I was finally able to push through to the ending.
Even though I completed the game, I still feel disappointed in myself for not being able to win legitimately. But that’s also the point of my channel—I’m always searching for the perfect controller setup that lets me compete and feel that satisfying rush of victory at the end of a tough game.
Despite my struggles, Stellar Blade is a fantastic experience. I’d give it an 8 out of 10. The Souls-like combat, intense bosses, and of course the stunning main character make it worth picking up—especially if you’re into challenging action and don’t mind a little style with the substance. The story can feel a bit predictable at times, but the gameplay more than makes up for it.
