Nothing! I’m Perfect…*cough!
Okay, okay… maybe not perfect. But hey, I’m at least limited-edition! 😎
One of the big reasons I launched my YouTube channel—and now this shiny new website—is because of my downright obsessive love for video games. I’m not talking casual crush level; I mean full-blown, heart-thumping, “will-you-marry-me” kind of love.
But what makes this passion a bit more… intense for me is that I was born with a little something called Cerebral Palsy. It’s one of those things where no two people have the exact same experience. Some folks deal with mental hurdles, others physical ones. For me? I got the physical party invite.
Let’s break it down:
Balance? Not my strong suit. I can stand and walk, but only if there’s something sturdy nearby—like a wall, a cane, or a very patient date. On those rare romantic evenings, I’d say:
“I can dance… if you prop me up against that wall over there. But fair warning, there’s a decent chance we’ll end up on the floor. Together. Romantic, right?”
Honestly, that line worked more often than you’d think. 😏
Next up: my left hand. Looks totally normal—until you hand me a controller and watch me fumble like I’ve got ten thumbs and a broken joystick. My dexterity and finger movement are… let’s say “relaxed.” Which is a challenge, for most games your character movement is controlled by this hand. Good luck dodging out of the way of that 747 coming right at you in time.
So yeah, those were my physical hurdles growing up. Add in all the usual kid stuff—fitting in, dating, sneaking into parties (no one ever carded the kid in the wheelchair, let’s be honest), dodging the occasional bully—and it was a wild ride.
Luckily, I had some awesome friends who supported me. But I never wanted to slow them down. They were out there trying to change the world, and I was just trying not to trip over a doormat. So, I spent a lot of time at home…
And that’s when video games became my world.
I’ve always loved sports. Couldn’t really play them IRL (In Real Life), but in the digital world? I could slam dunk, score goals, and throw touchdowns like a pro. In a game, I wasn’t “disabled”—I was unstoppable.
As I leveled up (literally and figuratively), I started getting into competitive online games—mostly FPS (First Person Shooters) titles. That’s when reality hit harder than a lag spike in a ranked match:
I wasn’t just behind—I was getting demolished.
My left hand just couldn’t keep up with all those keyboard warriors out there drinking Mountain Dew and clicking like caffeinated spiders. But I didn’t want to give up. I wanted to compete. To improve. To win.
And that’s what led me here.
This channel and this website exist to document my journey—finding the best adaptive controllers, experimenting with new tech, and hopefully helping you do the same. Whether you’ve got physical limitations like me or you just want a better way to play, I’m here to test the gear, tell the truth, and maybe even make you laugh along the way.
Let’s game on—our way.
